Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Opula Cosmetics collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to orders you place with us.

Who we are

What we collect

Order details: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, and the products you order.
Payment details: payments are handled by our payment providers (M-Pesa and Paystack). We receive a confirmation of payment, such as the transaction reference. We do not see or store your full card details.
Messages: what you send us by phone, WhatsApp, email or our contact form.
Website data: cookies needed for the shopping cart and checkout, and basic technical information your browser sends (such as IP address and browser type).

Cookies, analytics and other services on this website

This website uses the services below. We list only what is installed and switched on.

Shopping cookies (WooCommerce): keep your cart, checkout and account login working. WooCommerce order attribution is switched on: it uses first-party cookies (sbjs_…) to record how you reached the site (for example a search engine or a link), and saves that with your order.
Google for WooCommerce: sends our product list to Google Merchant Center (account 5665473786) so products can appear on Google. It also adds Google Ads conversion tracking (tag AW-18053951805) with enhanced conversions. When you place an order, Google may receive order details and hashed (encoded) customer details such as your email address and phone number to measure our ads. Google may set advertising cookies. Jetpack (Automattic / WordPress.com): connected for Stats (visit counts; “Do Not Track” is respected), WooCommerce Analytics (shop events such as product views and orders), security (Protect and Account protection check login attempts and IP addresses), Backup and Activity log (copies of the site and order data are kept on WordPress.com servers), and Subscriptions and contact forms. Wordfence: firewall and login security. It checks visitors’ IP addresses to block attacks and shares information about attacking IP addresses with the Wordfence network.
LiteSpeed Cache: speeds up pages. It may set a cache cookie; it does not track you.
Google Fonts: the fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google.
WhatsApp chat button (Click to Chat): opens WhatsApp to message us on +254 745 077077. WhatsApp (Meta) then handles that chat under its own privacy policy.
Contact form: messages sent with the form on our Contact page are stored on our website so we can reply.
Payments: M-Pesa payments are processed by Safaricom (you get an STK push on your phone). Card and other payments under “More Payment Options” are processed by Paystack. These providers receive the details needed for the payment, such as your phone number, email and the amount.
Hosting and backups: the website is hosted by Hostinger. Backups are made with UpdraftPlus.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel or TikTok Pixel on this website.

How we use it

To process, deliver and support your order, including calling you to arrange delivery.
To answer your questions and handle returns and refunds.
To keep the website secure and working properly.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need to run the shop: the payment providers, website and security services listed above, the people or couriers who deliver your order, and our website host. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for the order, returns and our legal and tax obligations. We delete or anonymise information we no longer need.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use for marketing. To make a request, email opulacosmeticske@gmail.com or call 0745 077077.
